Upcycled Terrarium Workshop: Build Your Own Tropical Retreat @ Bella Vista
Ready for a winter escape? Join us on Sunday, January 25th from 5:00-6:30pm at STUMP Bella Vista for an Upcycled Terrarium Workshop — a creative evening where you’ll build your own tropical retreat to brighten the long, winter days.
Led by shop manager, Jess, this hands-on workshop invites you to bring your favorite (clean) glass vessel — a large mason jar, glass tea pot, apothecary jar, cloche, or another beautiful thrifted find you’ve been saving. As long as it has a wide enough opening to work in, it’s perfect. Together, we’ll transform your vessel into a lush, living ecosystem!
This class is open to all experience levels — everyone is welcome. Come create, learn, and unwind for a cozy and sustainable evening of terrarium building as we dream of greener days ahead.
During this workshop, you’ll:
Learn which plants thrive in a terrarium environment
Explore how to layer for drainage, soil, and design.
Choose from an array of tropical plants, adding little tropical touches (ie cute miniatures, driftwood, and natural accents) to make it your own.
Learn how to care for your terrarium so it flourishes long after the workshop.
Your ticket includes:
A selection of tropical and fern plants to build your terrarium
All terrarium materials: drainage layers, soil, and retreat-inspired decor
Light refreshments — enjoy a selection of herbal teas
Tools to help you plant and style your creation
Each terrarium will be uniquely yours, reflecting your personal style and creativity. As we plant together, we’ll walk through light and watering needs so you leave feeling confident caring for your little ecosystem.
✨ $45/person
✨ 10 spots available
Enjoy a relaxed, welcoming evening surrounded by plants, connection, and inspiration. Feel free to BYOB if you’d like to sip while you create.
