Workshop Details:
• A hands-on class with group instruction to build your own unique terrarium to take home with you
• You’ll learn about the types of plants that thrive in terrarium environments and how to choose the right combination for your design
• Each attendee will gather 3-4 ferns and tropical plants of choice and learn to plant their own terrariums with instruction
• You’ll explore the art of layering: from creating a base of drainage materials to adding soil and plants of your choice (optional: byo cute miniatures to create your own cozy + autumn vibes!)
• Bring your own (clean) glassware from home whether it be a terrarium container, a mason jar, a teapot, a fishbowl, you name it. Ideally, the opening of the glass should be wide enough to easily fit your hand through or we have some tools for smaller openings. A lid is not required for a successful terrarium.
• Each terrarium will be personalized to what suits your style. As we plant together, we will learn about the light and watering process for our terrariums and conclude the evening knowing how to care for our little ecosystems to help them thrive.
