Upcycled Terrarium Centerpiece Workshop @ Northern Liberties [11/22]
Join us on Saturday, November 22nd from 6 PM to 7:30 PM for an Upcycled Terrarium Centerpiece Workshop at STUMP Northern Liberties!
Bring your own (clean) glass vessel — think statement piece! A large mason jar, vintage punch bowl, apothecary jar, glass cloche, or another gorgeous thrifted find —anything with a wide enough opening to work in — and join us for a sustainably autumnal evening of terrarium building!
Create a beautiful, living centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table or simply to enjoy as a seasonal accent in your home.
We’ll guide you step by step through creating a one-of-a-kind terrarium centerpiece while you:
Learn which plants thrive in a terrarium environment and how to layer for drainage, soil, and design.
Choose from lush ferns and tropical plants, adding cozy autumn touches (ie cute miniatures, pumpkins, and natural accents) to make it your own.
Discover how to care for your finished terrarium so it thrives long after the workshop.
Your ticket includes:
A selection of tropical and fern plants to build your terrarium
All terrarium materials: drainage layers, soil, and autumn-inspired decor
Light refreshments: sweet treats and spiced autumn tea
Tools to help you plant and style your piece
Enjoy a relaxed and creative atmosphere surrounded by plants, connection, and inspiration. Feel free to BYOB if you’d like to sip something festive while you create.
Meet Your Teacher
Caty Leader is a shopkeeper at STUMP Northern Liberties and our plant shop fairy! She has worked with and cared for plants her entire life, growing up in Philly with a beautiful garden and a green thumb. She’s especially talented at building terrariums, creating tropical and cacti arrangements, and leading a variety of plant workshops with care & enthusiasm. When she’s not helping customers and creating beauty in the shop, she’s looking after Philly’s kitties and is a total cat whisperer.
✨ $45 per person • 12 spots available • BYOB
