In this creative and educational workshop, participants will learn how to design and build their own terrarium to take home. Through hands-on planting and creative design, we’ll discover what makes a successful terrarium while creating a one-of-a-kind mini ecosystem to enjoy for years to come.
Workshop Details:
• A hands-on workshop designed specifically for participants ages 13+
• We’ll begin by learning about tropical plants and the environments they naturally grow in
• Participants will learn what a terrarium is, how it functions as a miniature ecosystem, and which plants thrive in terrarium conditions
• Each attendee will choose from a selection of tropical plants and learn how to layer and plant their terrarium step-by-step
• We’ll explore the building blocks of a successful terrarium, including drainage layers, soil, plant placement, and design techniques
• Personalize your terrarium with natural materials and decorative accents to create a piece that reflects your individual style
• We’ll finish the workshop by learning how to care for our terrariums at home so they can continue to grow and thrive!
